VigilanteTrail I've tried thru the years to grab 1 of those, but the prices were/are always way too high for what they are. I gave up since I had this one anyway.

    Terrible finish. Hit a great drive on 14 after a beautiful par on 13. Get to my ball, look at the hole and two course maintenance guys were sitting on a tractor 3 yards off the back of the green directly behind the pin. Totally broke my concentration and I never regained it. Finished with a 56 and barely broke 100 after starting with 42.

    Didn't have any clubs with me today and was done with work shit early. Guy texted me that he was going out. I met him at our course, I grabbed 2 range balls out of the bucket, an old Zebra putter with loose weights from 1977 and 2 clubs from the Lost and Found... a Jaws 56 degree and a Cobra LTDX 7 iron ( which was awful... I hate GI Irons).

    Shot even par.

      Incredible putting! And such a contrast to the horrendous putting in my last two rounds. The scores of 94 and 91 would have been 81 and 79, respectively, with 27 putts.

        First day with the new PXG Black Ops driver, and it was BAD! Same shaft and same weight distribution that I use with my Gen 5 driver. Yet the Black Ops was a crazy fade machine. When I did get it in the fairway, it was LONG. My usual is 235, and if I nuke it 250-255. The first straight one with the Black Ops was 280. But most of them were hard fades that really hit and rolled deeper into trouble. Not a good day 1.

        Good irons, I still hit 11 greens, yet only one under 10 feet. Made no putts. Just a very strange day.

          Walterjn No, even par. Last hole pisses me off as I was -1 going into it. It’s a 250 carry over the water so that was out. The hole is 395. I hit a good 7 iron and had probably 190 left slightly down hill lie. I started the ball at the trap front right hoping that like everything else with that club going left, I’d hit the runway and roll it up on the green. 2 level green with pin on the top. Well I started it on the right side of the trap so I knew I was screwed. Little draw which would have been fine if it started on the intended line…. But no. Impossible up and down from the trap amd made bogey for even par😔

              I shot 83 yesterday (41/42).

              32 putts
              10 fairways
              no birdies and two double bogeys (a couple of water balls)

              I'm starting to get more GIR's which is encouraging.

              Played the slump buster course today. Shot 37-37-74. Now this is an easy course to be sure, 66.7/107 Par 71 so my differential was only 7.6 but still a really good round for me. My putting was crazy for me 28 total and 13 on the back 9, that's at least 5 better than a normal good day.
              My new punch swing is working pretty well. A little distance challenged off the tee but i hit 12-13 Fw's. It's old man golf to be sure but so long as I play the right tees I can have some fun.

              Switching the driver today. Gonna take the Ping out to play

                49/47 in the senior league today. Worst round with the driver in a long time and couldn't get out of greenside bunkers. Only positive was parring 3 of the 4 par 3s. But the 4th one was a triple, lol.

                Another nice day for golf, but the 90s are coming next week. 🙁

                I shot 75 again, 36-39 (back nine first). I chipped in for birdie on the first (10th) hole, then just pars and 4 bogeys. 8 greens but only 28 putts. Good driving, approach shots, chipping and 3 to 8 foot putts. The greens are still holding shots. Love it.

                Our C player had a terrible day. The rest of the foursome did well. We probably got our ante back.

                48/48. Tee to green, I played better on the back nine than the front. The differnce was putting. 12 putts on the front, 20 on the back.

                Theround was slow today. 4.5 hours+. CPO. but still...

                83 at Tarpon Springs. Had one birdie. First out at 6:55 and we’re done at 9:48. Smoked some great fairway woods today. Driver was pretty good as well. Irons were ok. Pitched the ball decent.

                Scramble team shot -6 for 2nd place in my Thursday league. Best putting day I've had in a while. Good to be home in VA. Zoysia fairways to die for and excellent greens! Callaway Paradym X driver is approaching Holy Grail status.
