Shot 71 yesterday in our menโ€™s club event and picked up the only skin worth $350. Much better than my normal scores and actually no real indicators a hot round was coming my way. Iโ€™m just gonna enjoy this one because I might not see another one like it

77, 31. Hit way too many greens to have a lower putt total. Not sure if I've ever broke 80 on this course before.
The greens were, without doubt, faster than anything they've played on at The Masters this week, & I'd bet on it! Why, in early April, with all the rain we've had, are those greens brown and hard...Sept. greens for that course? Rest of the place was excellent.

Paradym 3 & 5, Paradym X 7, are like darts. I have never hit fw clubs that went that straight, nor are that easy to hit. I can't get the 3 to go as far as I'd like, but without overswinging, as long as it is straight...I'm going to accept what it gives me.

Tried the new TaylorMade Speedsoft balls again. Garbage, imo. Not even a good ball for us slow fellas, who they were supposedly made for. Short off every club.
Should be $5/doz. at RBG by end of summer. And I would not buy more for $5. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Another great day, 85*, Jake and his Dad in the group. (I beat them both, btw.๐Ÿ˜…)

42 (par 33 9 holer) in a scramble with my 11 y/o (his second time playing). We used 17 of his shots so he was thrilled. Probably the best day Iโ€™ve had on a golf course!

Jelopster 42 (par 33 9 holer) in a scramble with my 11 y/o (his second time playing). We used 17 of his shots so he was thrilled. Probably the best day Iโ€™ve had on a golf course!

Congrats! That's a great way to introduce a boy to playing the game without his having to feel like the game is "too hard." Enjoy his growth as his game improves! I can't even remember anymore the first times I took either of my sons out to play, but they're 53 and 47 years old now, both love to play, and an occasional round with them is absolutely one of my favorite things to do! Along those same lines, here's a picture my son just sent us yesterday of him and his 4-year-old at Golf Galaxy!

78 (42-36) at Timber Greens. No birdies. Parred the back nine. Great morning for golf. Went out first at 7:15 and were done at 10:18. Had the place to ourselves.

83 today. Started slow again. 5 greens, 31 putts. Nothing noteworthy. We won a few bucks.

Off to a hot start today. Needed par on the final hole to shoot 73, so I double bogeyed it๐Ÿคฌ for a 75 (4 over)๐Ÿ˜„. Best round of the year for me. Team won 2nd in best-2-balls and I nailed a CTP on #12 (with my driver). 170 yard par 3 into the breeze. 10'6". ๐Ÿ˜

I shot 41-38-79 today at Riverby Hills in Bowling Green, OH this morning. A little breezy, but a good day to play otherwise. Riverby is a little hillier than most of the courses around here, so part of the challenge is walking and pushing the cart up and down those hills. Chipped in for a birdie, hit 7 greens, 32 putts. Hit the ball more solidly than I have all spring....

sdandrea1 Been there. Should still be doing it, and no reason not to on some of those holes. I used to do it a lot, but not since I 'moved up'.
There is 1 hole (185yds.) on 1 course I play where I've been hitting 3wd. Every damn time, I hit it badly. Next time I'm using driver.๐Ÿ‘

fatshot a little hillier than most of the courses around here

We have a few courses around here that have 'hills' in their names. For good reason. And I love playing them, but of course, never walk.

This is the course from Sunday, #18. #1 is on the left. iirc, only 1 hole is flattish, but does have a darned hill on/within the green!! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Riverby has one nine that is flat-ISH, but the back nine has no less than 6 holes that are a challenge to walk. I suppose I'll reach a point where I'll maybe ride a cart on the back nine, and eventually for the whole course. But at this point, I'm either too stubborn or too cheap to give in yet...!!!

Bravopilot Tough Par 3 for the Geezer group??

Our par 3s here from the red/white combo tees are as follows: (2 courses)

          1. 130, 120, 160, 150, 170. (Par 71)

          2. 155, 170, 110, 188, 115. (Par 70)

It's tougher from the whites ๐Ÿคฌ
