Shot a 43 on my nine holer, BUT I only brought 6 clubs (3w, 5, 7, 9, SW, P). Had a blast. It’s a short nine hole course so typically it’s driver/wedge. Using the 3W, and being off line, put me back just far enough to hit a couple of seven and nine irons which I rarely have to do.
When I caught up to some people, it was at a good point to loop back around on holes 3-6 so I played those twice, dropping down a couple balls each time at various points so I really got to hit a nice variety of shots.
The new to me Ping Zing SW is fantastic and will stay in the bag. I continued push/fade everything to the right off the tee. (Many apologies to Floyd the Driver for blaming you. It’s my technique, not you!). As is also the case with my poor iron play, I need to focus on rotating through the ball. When I did this, I started launching it straight hitting my last two drives 243 and 241 in the fairway. That Thriver mini is hot!
A great round…will do the half set again!
