SMT I don't mind. It wasn't really a 'bash' comment, as it might have read. They just seem way too busy up there with their Sub 70 line, that I wonder if maybe there are too many irons in the fire. I've not tried any of the SMT heads, since you got out(technically). I'm one of 'those' that get used to things, a certain way. I do not know if foundries have been changed, etc.. Not a very trusting sole sometimes, that's me.
I did order 1 of the newer iron heads a few months back, but returned it. Just was not what I was expecting.
Several times I have considered an order for SMT heads, then just kept them as thoughts.
