When I was in the business I sold only component clubs and only had component clubs in my bag. I did a lot of OEM retrofitting for customers but I never sold nor played any OEM clubs while in the business.
I have been retired from the business for 15 years or more and my bag is all modified OEM clubs. Not a component in sight. Last component in my bag was a Wishon GRT driver.
I buy lightly used stuff and retrofit it. Once in a while I see a new set of irons that interest me. I will buy a 7 iron that best matches my specs and try it. So for, nothing has pushed my old Adams 2014 Idea Irons nor my old Cleveland Mashie hybrids nor my Ping G25 woods out of my bag. As I said, I try new stuff but no luck so far.
