JT was one of the outspoken pros that were vehemently opposed to having mics worn during tournaments. He was one that always said "no thanks"' when approached about wearing one during an event. It still came back to bite him in the ass.

But, by what you've stated, he probably pissed someone off, with his decision/thoughts about it, and they got vengeance, by getting too close with their mic.
