The "New FGI" Wasn't Much - Neither Is This Forum
It's spuzz' fault. No doubt about it.
I like it because I can sit here in my underwear and talk to you guys comfortably. If I do that on GOLFWRX, I always feel like someone creepy is watching me.
But why would it really? The same people who were on FGI as it was dying on the vine moved over here, minus some who didn't make the move, so there's actually less people on here. We might've picked up a few new people but probably not many.
This is still a decent place, imo. We might just have to get used to less participation, as in golf in general.
A lot of lurking, hopefully those will participate when they feel more comfortable .
Really is the members and the atmosphere which attracts participation, Software ? As long as it provide adequate avenues for communication, which could be added on a little bit at a time.
P.M. and email is convenient to hide sensible information from all that could get online, however, it would minimize the "participation". I believe these features will be available once we have participation.

I, for one, am happy to see that the members of FGI who made the transition here seem to be reasonable adults who can have a discussion without slinging insults, hate, discontent, spooge, mung and drool.
A lot of forums software/interface were set up the same and I find it easy to navigate....FGi used to have it, Incepta.ca, Golf Discussions had it....
I think coming in to this site new, u just use the software. It's the change...the drastic change that can do the forum in.
I too would like to see a more active swap shop...maybe it'll just come. Pm function is a must. Love how easy it is to post pics.
