I read somewhere that he may be part owner in a Budweiser distributorship or two. Don't know if it's true or not and don't really care. I was kind of thinking it might be a sly reference to all the celebrating the Panthers have been doing all season, implying that the time to celebrate is after the work is done.

He does own a percentage in a few Budweiser distributors in Loiusiana, I believe. Of course he had a rehearsed speech. Bet he had one for if they lost, too. And if it was a jab at Goddell for his hypocritical garbage (Bud is one of the NFL's biggest sponsors and always has been...what is he going to do?), promotes his own business interest (Peyton "GD" Manning has always been the corporate shill), and jabs Carolina about celibrating the win, why, that is 3 for 3. I thought it was funny as heck, and a lot better than "I am going to Disneyland"

And like Spuzz, I give the guy credit for putting his huge ego aside and Dilfering his way to his second Super Bowl.

I found it all offensive and inappropriate...mostly because Bud is such a lousy beer and Papa Johns is bad pizza. That's a recipe for a long session on the throne. If next Manning starts shilling for Immodium I'm going to be very suspicious.

At least he didn't say,"We're going to Disney World"!

Toulon I think it was very sad that Peyton used that platform to promote beer drinking...and lots of it, implying a little overindulgence. Kids, and lots and lots of them are watching him looking up to him.

Last I checked drinking beer was as legal.

darpar At least he didn't say,"We're going to Disney World"!

        He showed up there though.
He should have said " I will have a Bud hangover at Disney World" and got all his promotional BS out at once.

        What he should've said.

I can't wait to get some Papa John's pizza and wash it down with several Budweisers and if I happen to get in an accident I'm covered by Nation Wide.

Mountains out of mole-hills - it was harmless. Move along, please....................

It is ironic that one of the biggest sponsors of the NFL is beer. Yet they have a policy of not letting the players mention beer. Not the only screwed up policy the NFL has I might add.

Yes, Peyton has owneRship interests in two Anheiser Busch distributors in Louisiana.

LBlack14 Absolutely is...however, he's a role model to an untold number of children. Obviously, there were many kids watching Peyton that night and to drop that in was very poor taste, not unlike Bud, from what I've heard. There are still parents in the world who don't wish for their kids to drink. On the other hand, there were probably plenty of atheists who didn't care for his mentions of thanking "the man upstairs". Everyone has things they like and don't like. I'm not a drinker...never have been, never will be so I guess I'm just sensitive to that message.

Strip clubs are legal, also but I wouldn't wish for him to stand up and talk about going to see some bazooms and kitty at the "gentlemen's club" either.

To me, it's equally offensive that he did this having something to gain financially from the mentions.

Toulon Just shows me how far this country's in the shitter John. Everybody finds anything and everything they can to piss, moan and wine about something. Do your job as a parent and they'll make their own decisions as adults. I'm the son of a Pentecostal preacher and that upbringing my whole life never swayed me one way or the other. I'm my own person who very seriously doubts the existence of a higher being or after life. Has nothing to do with what I was taught. I teach my kid to do the right thing.

The world would be a much better place if we'd simply honor the Golden Rule. There'd be a lot less hate, for sure.

LBlack14 LB... you know I love ya. Everyone has their own beliefs. We all get upset when we see pieces of ours violated in our perception like you in your last post and me in mine.

Nobody is their own person. All of us were dependent on multiple people and factors to bring us to adulthood. The right or wrong issue floats on the totality of our experience with others and whatever is actually our own thoughts that come out of all that. I was once taught there is no right or wrong only our thinking makes it so. Used to hate it but now see it as true in the context of all the things I mentioned previously.

Manning is part owner in two Budwiser Distributor's. He was just doing a little post retirement company advertisingπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸ˜€πŸ»

                IMO

Manning's next team will be the Indianapolis Colts.

He will either be a minority owner (somewhat doubtful), or the next Offensive Coordinator (a little more plausible), or QB Mentor.

I thought it's the Titan's that he wanted to be involved with?
