Walterjn Mattyv everybody needs to learn how to parallel park a car properly. That lady needed that lesson.
Rickochet Walterjn everybody needs to learn how to parallel park a car properly. That lady needed that lesson. Yep. I had to take my drivers license test in 1965 in a 1960 Chevy station wagon that must have been 40' long and did not have power steering. Parallel parking was a challenge.
fatshot Rickochet Yep. I had to take my drivers license test in 1965 in a 1960 Chevy station wagon that must have been 40' long and did not have power steering. Parallel parking was a challenge. I took mine in a 1960 Ford Galaxy 4-door sedan that also seemed that long...! Back in the 'good old days!'
sdandrea1 Rickochet Yep. I had to take my drivers license test in 1965 in a 1960 Chevy station wagon that must have been 40' long and did not have power steering. Parallel parking was a challenge. My test was in a 1960 Rambler station wagon. No power steering, but at least it had a "modern" push-button automatic xmission.
Walterjn I took mine in a Chevy sprint 3cyl econo car... I learn to drive in a Chevy suburban, and yes I could parallel park that thing. If need be, I can parallel park the truck and trailer, I don't like having to do that though...
Walterjn Hahahaha, It was a standard transmission however. That said, I have only owned 1 automatic transmission vehicle.
meagain My 67 year old wife has to drive the Corvettes that they pick up for service because no one there has any experience driving a standard transmission!
johnnydoom meagain You just reminded me that I need to teach my son before he goes off to college. Not that I think it will be an important skill moving forward, but just something he can have that few others will these days. Hard to believe mechanics don't learn how to drive a manual transmission.
Par4QC meagain That ain't nothing. Jump in a old dump truck and try driving off in that. 🤨 This is much newer, easier, one handed.
