Walterjn A few years ago, I was shipping out so many boxes, I swear they had "free pass for Rex" written in every P.O., they were moving so quick. Canada was (seriously)just another 2-3 day delivery, I had so many going up there. If it took 5 days, I thought it got lost. Even had 3 day deliveries to Australia.

      LogicalOne LOL, that's not the half of it. It got really crazy. 3-5 days to Germany, France, and a few other places. The day the fella messaged me from AU that it arrived, I was still waiting for a box to be delivered in San Fran, mailed the same day. It made it in 4!

          Here is a good one - I received 2 deliveries today, but not thiiiiiiis one:

          My USPS experiences have been pretty good lately. Did I type that out loud? Jinx?

          My package arrived. Tracking stopped where it stopped above and the buyer PM'd me (wrx) that the head arrived, thank gawd. It went to one of those shipping services that guys use to ship things to foreign countries. This one was in Florida and once received they ship it to the buyer who is in Columbia. And after the initial two emails the USPS did not respond. I emailed again on Monday and no response to that. I suspect the head was delivered promptly but they stopped scanning it after Milwaukee.

          Why do they even call it Priority Mail 2 day?
          Some of SWMBO'S clubs were bought by a VA Beach resident.......100 miles from us. Still en route after a week and currently in Charlotte NC! WTF? Why would the boxes leave the state of VA?

              I asked the Postmaster about this years ago which obviously was well before all the covid issues started. He told me 2 or 3 day priority was a "goal" but not a guarantee and that they would not even put a tracer out for a package until 10 business days. That was at least ten years ago.

                  They do it now. I get on them after 4 days, and suddenly, things move. Just jumped them again Friday, so I'll see what happens in the a.m.. No excuses! Covid is 16 fucking months old....get it figured out, or just get out of the biz!

                    Pre-covid: I sent time-sensitive tickets to my Dad on a Monday via Priority for an event the following Saturday (normally a 2-day delivery almost guaranteed). I fretted as soon as I saw they were routed to the New Jersey abyss from KC when our normal route is Topeka -> KC -> Omaha for all mail going to Nebraska addresses. Sure enough, the envelope hadn't moved out of NJ on Thursday until late that night. I called the venue and made arrangements for a duplicate ticket will-call window pick up at the event but my elderly dad wanted those tickets in his hand before he arrived. He called the local postmaster in his small city of 13,000 and explained the problem to her. She felt if they made it to Omaha from NJ the next morning (Friday), they'd be at her local station early on Saturday morning and she said she'd see what she could do for him. The postmaster met the early arrival of the truck from Omaha that Saturday morning, dug through the sacks of Priority Mail, found my envelope, called my Dad and he went down to pick it up! That lady understood customer service and put the capital "P" in Priority.

                      It's getting worse. Sold a set of heads that went out in a small flat rate box, VA to CA. It's been nearly 10 days. Latest status: Cleared post facility in SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO!! WTF?!

                            I discovered a huge mistake a short while ago when sending out tracking info to buyers from yesterday. I came across 2 labels, same tracking #, same address. WTF? Panic. Counting/sorting papers/checking PP shipping, etc.. Sent the guy a message telling him Merry Christmas. But, that means I sold 1 I no longer have to ship! Figuring the P.O. would not let the same tracking# through on 2 boxes, we called them. (after closing)They found the boxes, and then asked if I had another correct label ready. I quickly printed one and ran back to the P.O. and was met by the gal on the phone, with the 2 boxes. Slapped the new label on 1, and all is well.
                            Except for Sheldon. I felt like a monster telling him, no early Christmas; you gotta pay for everything in life today!
