If anyone likes Tom Petty you should check out Roger Cline and the Peacemakers. Their 1st big band was the Refreshments. Albums to check out are Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy and Americano. Roger is an AZ Native and has done a lot for the AZ music scene.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already - but if you haven't heard of 8D music, check it out. Just go on youtube and search for your song in 8D audio - pretty neat stuff!

This is what perfection looks and sounds like.

So... this Russian band that does the fantastic Chicago covers that some of us have posted links to? Who make it look incredibly easy? Well, turns out that there's a lot more hard work involved than the finished product would otherwise suggest. They just posted a behind-the-scenes look at some of the challenges with learning how to sing in American English. It's incredible that they can adapt the way they do and make their voices sound authentic, let alone the instrumental precision!

Thought some might find it interesting on an otherwise boring Wednesday.

Love Merle Haggard and the Alan Parsons project. Watching the special on the '97 Bulls made me go back and listen to Alan Parson again early in the week. Never listened the Merle when I was young, then I married a country music fan and started hearing his music and decided I really missed out on something in my youth. Glad they record that stuff! Went to go hear him at one of the Tunica casinos sometime back in the early 2000's.

Merle, Waylon, Willie, George, Hank, etc... you mention those names today and nobody knows who they were. Don't get me wrong, I like some modern country music. Huge fan of Garth Brooks, the former Brooks and Dunn, etc.. back in the 90's. But those aforementioned names were staples on the old am/fm radio sitting in my mom's kitchen back in the day. Good memories.
