Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

sdandrea1 Roscoe used to tolerate a bath, then walk around all pissy. I wouldn't even attempt it now, he'd eat me up. I may change his name to "Bitey", at least for me, anyway. They get their spa day, every 6 weeks, stank or not. Shithead's a bitey little mfer too. Thankfully he knows how to back off.

sdandrea1 The 1st 3 baths with Archie I was able to pick him up in the shower and wash him and it went well. That was it though. He is such a dirty boy.

Sophie tolerates her bath. She doesn't fuss or resist, but she does try to run off when I get the towel out.

I've been indulging in a little bit of nostalgia over the last few days - found the full TV coverage of the 1989 USPGA to watch on YouTube. (The autolink to YT doesn't seem to be working, but you should be able to click the link to get through to the video.)

A few things:

didn't realise just how many good players were in the mix in this tournament, with Strange (at his peak), Seve (just past his peak) and Woosnam (still up-and-coming in the US at that stage) being the group to watch, but a very strong leaderboard
so much variety in swings and technique compared to the players now - every player had their own way of playing
the coverage felt a little bit amateurish at times compared to what we get now (approximate yardages, a few mistakes with the captions), but was very balanced - a lot of players were shown
a few brands that aren't seen in golf nowadays - Reid using a Maxfli ball (and a couple of others with Maxfli-branded hats), Faldo's Pringle clothing, Stewart and his NFL sponsorship - but that old reliable Titleist logo that doesn't seem to have changed in 30-odd years
so many Ping putters (with the odd Bullseye in there as well)...
players hitting 2- and 3-irons (and blade long irons at that!), and a pretty even mix of wood and metal in the driver and fairway clubs

Sitting here in Vegas awaiting the boss's arrival. Been trying for the last 2 hours to get a hotel room for the night. Card got declined... Kinda surprised that I'm still awake. I woke up at 2:30 so I could load 4 horses and drive here for a show this week. The drive here wasn't too bad, a little long for how much sleep I got last night...

Bravopilot already spoke with the boss and she said that's not the problem. According to her, problem is that it's a business card that she uses, I use and it has multiple repeating automatic charges. So she pays it off and things hit it. At least that's what I'm thinking she said...

Walterjn I was figuring it was a corporate card and not your own. Once in a while ours would get screwed up too.

Bravopilot hotels require $100.00 deposit for "incidentals" like breaking the wall, windows, tv, etc.... Will only take credit or debit card for that. Not cash...

Still fighting the good fight against sugars, most other carbs, and red meats. Not particularly fun, but the chronic pain can no longer be called chronic as I don’t feel it much at all anymore. 😄

Furnace installers banging away on the ducting as I type. I guess we were lucky that the furnace was in stock in a warehouse 50 miles away. I discussed changing out the A/C unit at the same time and was told that most of the A/C units were backordered. This is an upflow with the A coil box on top so I guess the plan is to slide the new furnace under the existing A/C and go with that until the A/C croaks.

Day off so it’s poop detail, workout, post office, clean out some leaves and cut the lawn.

Getting ready to head home from Vegas. I get to stop off in Thermal, finish loading the 2 horse trailer with whatever the boss's hired grooms couldn't fit and head home.
