Early walk for the dog this morning as had extra collection on my charity run today. Got home to find an email from TV compnay, egift card for a substantial amount of cash - guessed that meant they couldn't/wouldn't repair the TV they took awayy the other day.
Ah well ... at least I got my money and more back on that Care Plan, so off we go for a new TV on Click&Collect due to lockdown. Get home, unbox the set, wait what's this ... bolt pattern for wall mount is different to my old set. Never mind, mount plate is adjustable so let's get that down and done ... perfect. Try the mounting bolts from the old set in the TV before trying to lift it into place - no fit, not even close. Needs M8 bolts - not supplied with set. And I'm not sure an M8 will pass through the holes in the mounting plate. "Help!" email to the guy who fitted the wall mount bracket for me, see what tomorrow brings.
Mounted it on table stand for now and set it up, but that was a bummer as well. Free 30 day trial Amazon Prime, not needed as we already have an account, but couldn't get past the "Sign Up" screen. Two options Close and Exit, Close and Cancel, both led back to sign up screen. Switching TV off and on led back to the sign up screen. Eventually unplugged/replugged the set and finally FINALLY got the damn thing working, just in time for the WGC finishing.
And I can't remember how I got past the AP sign in screen so if I have the same issue tomorrow ...
