Worked. Making spaghetti with meat sauce for supper.
Learned something new today. Scrounging around in the pantry to use up some old stuff I found a box of Velveeta to use. Checked the date and says use by Sept. 2020. I figure it's not real cheese and hasn't ever been opened it's probably fine to eat. Opened it up and it didn't smell like normal Velveeta. May be safe, but sure didn't smell like it. In the trash it went. So apparently a processed cheese substitute still only has a six month shelf life. I would've thought the stuff would actually be safe to eat for years to come.
