Met up with a couple that Mrs. Fatshot and I knew from college (we actually CAN remember that far back!!)
who are in town for college homecoming. We played nine holes, then had dinner with them, and had a great time.
I actually made two birdies and lipped out a third try.....Mrs. Fatshot broke 50, so it was a successful day all
the way around...!!!

Currently soaking some small white tee shirts in a soda ash mix before dying them. Maybe day after tomorrow they will be dry and I can start to tie them. New dyes to try and more dye to make the colors more vibrant. We shall see what I can get out of these dyes...

"Mr. Fix-it" is at it again. It seems like everyday something in my house breaks. Today it is the Amazon Firestick streaming device on my upstairs TV. We use it a lot even for local news. Last night my wife tells me it isn't working. I change batts in the remote and do everything I can think of and all I get is a blank grey screen. So this morning I decided to just unplug it from the wall power and plug it back in. Bingo, it works. I don't know how many times I have done this with electronic devices and how many times it works. Damn, I'm good. 😛

Yeah, we have Firesticks as well and one of them acts up. The unplug/plug back in fix has worked every time.

Did that with my boy last year. Really affected my wife. Didn’t bother me much because I remembered how much I wanted the step up in independence at that age. When my daughter goes in a couple of years I think my feelings will be a little different.

That was one of the most emotional days of our lives for my wife and me.....hated to see him go, even
while knowing it was the "natural order of things..." Now he's gone through the same thing with his kids!

johnnydoom I was/am one of the few parents that used to hate to see the kids going back to school. Also, not the type of parent that “can’t wait” until the kids move out. I like having them around…. We still all go out to eat, errands… it’s fun. If they didn’t like it they’d move out

I've told Beck this over and over. Kelsey could still be living here, if she didn't start playing house. Hell, I let my mother in law move in for 8 months.

Picked my daughter up from band practice and then we went to eat at Tacos 4 Life. Watching football on tv and enjoying my new sneaks.

Tonight, bring the daughter back for more band practice and then the band ends the day performing their full marching show for the parents.

Shower renovation is complete. Installed the glass door yesterday. A tip the glass guy told us is to use RainX and squeegee it after a shower. We have hard water so it should help.

Sneakylong definitely Rainx the glass. Not sure about the squeegee idea, I always used a large cup of water and started at one side near the top and poured the water down the side . Whatever small droplets that were vanished with the pour.
