Dealing with the joy of HOAs.
We live on a hill. Several subdivisions, several condo and apartments complexes, school and parks. The entire hill falls under one HOA. However, each individual subdivision has their own HOA. It seems like 90% of the issues fall under, "that's not our area, it's their area" arguments. After 30 years since construction, you think they would know by now.
On a secondary note, one of the HOA managers is just an incredibly unpleasant person. Amazingly enough, she was also our HOA manager at another house that we owned 20 miles away from 2000-2007. Hated dealing with her then. I couldn't believe it when we bought this one in 2007 and found out that woman has this area as well. 15+ years later and she is still there, and still the same incredibly unpleasant person.
