If I was purchasing new tires for my car, I would probably have an issue if I found out that one of the tires, at any point prior to me purchasing them, was mounted on the wheel of a different car.

I really don't see this any differently.

Agree, if the one (s) been installed and disclosed to the buyer then no issue.
But from the picture, definitely could not be sold as "NEW" if not diclosed that one or more had been installed and pulled, tested and pulled. For goodness sake, clean out the old epoxy before shipping the shafts.

I would be very careful getting the tapered tips from this vendor, do check the spec to make sure it was what it advertised to be.

I purchased a set of used shafts which is way cleaner than that shown in the picture.
Really sloppy job if from a member , especially from a vendor whom supposed to make sure everything is according to what it was advertised.

New to me means, "untouched" as to installation ... period.

Any other condition, no matter if one would include additional items, voids the condition statement of "New".

A vendor who premises such, no matter if from this website or not, would not be one I would consider to be reputable.

Some times employees do things not meant for by owners/ managers, or simple mistakes are made.
The vendor has offered to correct the mistake and even did it over a weekend , non-business hours, which is happily suprising to me. If I read the posts right. I'd hope an explanation/apology re the error was offered or will be and everything will be Jake.
That's my $0.02. Just hard to believe any of our guys would purposely misrepresent their goods. They certainly would have to realize that would never fly here ,as bad news travels fast.

All new shafts I receive are individually packed in plastic. I don't know why those are wrapped like that. Pretty unprofessional in the least.

I sell strictly finished clubs, not individual components. When I get shipments of shafts that are wrapped in their own plastic sleeves, I take them out of the sleeves when I put them into the shaft bins so that way the cutting room doesn't get cluttered up with plastic sleeves as the shafts are pulled out to build clubs. So that's why there were no plastic sleeves on them, we store them that way for our own use, I don't see anything "unprofessional" about that.

I hope that the vendor in question was given enough opportunity (time wise) to make this right, obviously the vendor is working with you. I would hate to think that this post was pre-mature.

The need to run a tight ship in a competitive environment is paramount !

Ever had an experience of a favorite restaurant missed their mark of service or quality/quantity of dish JUST ONE TIME and you decided not to go back again ? It happens all the time.

Mistake happens, but it should be avoided at all cost.

This case did not come across as "an honest" mistake or accident. Like a shaft damaged during shipping. It would be interesting if the vendor came up with any excuse, because there is none.
