I commend the Tour and the host club for being as creative as they can within the schedule they have to work around. Golf may be one of only a few sports that will provide some means of entertainment. With the potential for a MLB strike, the closing window of an NBA return, and the return of college football not being a sure thing... pro golf might be the only itch that gets scratched for a sports fan for a while.
Interesting schedule-
Nascar is trying hard to be ahead.
Been watching some UFC lately, and I don’t even like that style of fighting much. Seen a couple of recent crowd free matches and a couple of replays with a 115 lb. Polish woman named Joanna Jędrzejczyk. She may be one of the toughest fighters I’ve ever seen.
Looking forward to some PGA golf though. Only problem is I’ll probably be back to working in the office by then and won’t get to watch on Thursday or Friday - don’t really like to record golf.
Woods didn't play bad today just not very sharp.
Is my head in the sand? Two weeks in a row at the same venue? WTF
ode scores better earlier?
Last week I think the cut was -2. Right now it looks like -1 is tied for 20th place, so it appears that the scores were much better on the course last week.
ode I'd love to see it with that compact swing .
His swing looks a bit longer to me now.
Maybe he's thinking less and swinging freer.
He's always had the power but he hardly ever swung more than 80% with driver. Afraid to miss the fairways.
My guess is he has somewhat re-evaluated his game (underachieving in the Win dept) and is trying something else.
He hit one on 17 (closest to the center hole) about 400 yards and less than 2 yards off center on Wed.
If his short wedges and putting are on, he will be tough to beat.
Problem is, he gets nervous on Sunday and his putting goes to shit.
ode Found this:
Tony Finau (along with his brother Gipper Finau) was on Big Break Disney Golf when he was 19 years old.
His brother was trying to make it to the PGA, but apparently turning Pro in high school has been detrimental to that happening. He was better than Tony, as I read it. Has only had a couple starts through the years on lower tours.
DJ had a rough round today.
