They're nice. Some are more compact than others. Most of them have detachable wheels, which helps. But they do pick up grass clippings and car trunks should be lined with towels to keep the trunk somewhat clean. An SUV or pickup with good cargo space is ideal.
The only thing is that some of the straps that secure the bag to the frame are velcro and they wear after a while. Of course, bungee cords work great. The other thing is the braking mechanism. The old one I have is down near the wheel, on the axle frame... spring operated to catch in the wheel cog. The plastic tines from the spring brake get flimsy after a while and they're prone to breaking. A hand brake near the top is much more convenient and practical imo.
They're nice. Definitely worth the investment if you play a lot of gentle walking courses and don't want to fork over the money for a cart.
