Left to right:
Honma XP-1 driver with new aftermarket shaft (LogicalOne Leveler R-flex) to 45"
Maltby CT-250 FC thriver (note the draw bias) with Matrix Kujoh 75-A shaft to 43"
Snake Eyes Viper Ti-4 3-wood (extreme draw bias) with Matrix Kujoh 85-A shaft to 40.75"

The Ti-4 has weights installed in a 12-12-10-1 gram configuration heel-to-toe.

fatshot I bought a 45 gram A flex Aldila Ascent shaft

That shaft combined with my Paradym X driver head is a perfect fit to my swing. It just works.

fatshot The next logical step is ladies flex

My hybrids are Callaway "W" flex. Good fit for me.

Over the weekend finished off the reworking of my home-brewed single-length Snake Eyes Quick Strike II hybrids with Aldila Trinity F-75 shafts in A-flex (purchased from GlobalGolf RBG; these were apparently originally part of the Callaway RAZR Fit Xtreme fairway wood offering a decade or so ago) and Lamkin Sonar Plus grips. Playing length is 40". These are the 15Ā°, 19Ā°, 23Ā°, and 27Ā°. Also have the 31Ā° but didn't reshaft as my current irons should cover that yardage.

HybridWood Those shafts have been hanging around a few online retailers for awhile. I suspect that they are like an NV with a softer tip, maybe a NVS. Do you like them?

backinit I would agree with NVS-like. They do have a softer tip like the NVS. So far I am pleased with the results based on range testing with the 27Ā° and a split grip. Hope to take the completed clubs to the range today but with 90Ā°+ temps we'll see.

I switched from 17Ā° 4 wood to 19Ā° 5 wood, so I decided to build different fairways for gapping purposes. Jetspeed 7/23, and KZG 9/27. While I was at it, Launcher HB 3 wood. All with the FGS plus shaft or the iDrive equivalent.

I donā€™t know that I need a 3 wood. Time will tell. Right now when driver is not the good choice, I use the 5 wood.

Reshafted a Louisville Golf persimmon 11 wood Niblick 30 deg with a TT Dynalite steel R to go with my ALL American set.

Par4QC You must be looking for more launch. I notice you set the screw to the very back.

For me with steel shafts I need more launch. The difference in heft match (higher) heft allows me to be more synced up and I don't get the high launch of a graphite softer flex shaft profile in the tip area vs. steel even Dynalite. Plus the BBGM makes the shaft play stiffer a good factor as trajectories and dispersion are way less with steel even for a slower swing speed senior than graphite plus the heft is better.

backinit I haven't played a 3 wood since I was in around 50. I'm not sure why I'm still holding on to one.

              I haven't owned a 3 wood since......hell I can't remember.
