KCee I've used graphite in irons a lot the past 30 years. It just depends on what the shaft profile is like. I used to have some that were 110g, and they are still the best I've ever used. But, that comparison is made from age 50 to now, even though I've never been that long with irons; 6i was my 'go to' perfect 150. Now, no iron goes that far. šŸ˜…
The only set of graphite I have now are the newer Recoil Dart 75. Very nice, and much better than the older Recoil. I am playing steel currently though.
Admittedly, I've only used graphite iron shafts for the looks, mainly. No wrist, elbow, shoulder troubles.

KCee I think going graphite is the equivalent of going up in loft on your driver though lol.

    Hey now!

I've only had the one set of irons, and they came with stock graphite shafts. Only two clubs in the bag have steel shafts, my 60Ā°, and my putter.

Thatā€™s me for sure. 45 years old with bad wrists and elbows. Heavier graphite has made it so I can play more and score better.

As far as build goes; I replaced the grip on my putter.

You would be surprised if you tried graphiteā€¦.itā€™s not your grandfathers graphite. I sounded like you until I hit it.

Typhoon Prolly wouldn't notice. Anyone using TTDG shafts have dead hands. šŸ˜„

CallMeAl what is the design consist of? Some sort of tape? I have an ugly driver head where I'm looking to put something over it (the crown), but one consistent color...

It's a vinyl overlay. Easy to install. Protects nicely and comes off without too much trouble.

Use a hair dryer to smooth out wrinkles.

I also have a carbon fiber overlay that looks nice installed.
