Reset a Graphite Design IZ into a Cally adapter to align it to flo. Weighted to a Mav Max.
What did you build today?
Put a Graman Limey into my Rogue Max for testing...

So I did something strange today. A guy at work asked me to build him a set. He is a brginner lefty. He needs the full gambit of clubs. I had everything in my Golfworks and DTG carts ready to go and I was going to charge him $450. I was checking OfferUp for possibly a different driver option. There was a guy selling a full set of lefty clubs for $300. Ping K15 irons 6-Sw, K15 4&5 hybrids, TM R7 woods, Callaway Edge driver, Ping CrazeE putter and a bag. I advised him to buy that set instead of building him a set. Hell of a haul he is getting in my opinion.
Well done!

I built Mia her set of LogicalOne L1.X irons and L1.XW wedges. She is an EPSON Tour player but is coaching/instructing this year.
I screwed 2 irons together from my demo equipment to test outside on Trackman.
P790 7 iron with a MMT 105 stiff
P790 7 iron 2 degrees weak with a Recoil 780 smac wrap F4 flex.
Then I unscrewed them, switched them up and finally unscrewed them and put them away

colej That MMT 105 is a totally overrated shaft, IMO. Itâs stiff as hell due to the design and offers little to no feedback.
Hmmm⌠a bit biased there Xcalibur 105 salesman . Quite the contrary⌠I also hit the modus 105 that Iâve had in the Pings for years.
The MMT to me felt very smooth, ball took off from the face with tight dispersion and ball speed was better than any other shaft. There are people that say they play stiff⌠not sure. They do launch on the low side but peak height and stopping power is still fine. On Trackman I got the same roll out after carry as I did with the recoil. Iâm on the fence about softstepping them⌠a tiny bit more height wouldnât hurt.
The Recoil is too soft in the tip for me. Didnât feel as solid as the MMT but the MMT with Metal Mesh Tech makes you feel like you have more control and can go after it without sacrificing accuracy. The recoils are a great shaft⌠a close second place finish but at 87 grams itâs also too light for me. A lot of lefts. Didnât hit it high, just left a lot due to the profile of the shaft. The Modus 105 also is a âsoft stiffâ tip but the profile is good for me otherwise⌠itâs just with that tip my launch is 3-4 degrees higher than the MMT⌠I lose a lot with the modus.
I can post Trackman screen shots for each one but why bore you guys.
The funny thing is I really was excited about trying the p790 2 degrees weak. I was hoping for a little more spin and height ( instead of softstepping). What I found was higher launch, too much spin, not a higher peak height that I wanted. Also, loss of ball speed. It just didnât make any sense for me.
I would love to have an xcalibur shaft with the TM tips we use for irons⌠thatâd be cool to try.
Thereâs plenty of WRX guys saying the same thing about the MMT 105. The high swing speed guys say theyâre great (MMT 125) and super stable. Xcaliber also has a shaft (brought out before the MMT) with a woven metal wrap around a graphite shaft. I donât like the feel of it either.
If you worked work callaway youâd have access to AXE rapid taper shafts. They are in their fitting carts.
Wrx guys ONLY talk about MMT 125âŚ. ⌠and I bet only 10% have hit it. We have it in TX for some reason in the matrix., complete waste.
KCee My gripe with our graphite selection is itâs all light, 45-75 grams. Only thing heavier is the Recoil 780es F4 at 86 grams, the MMT 105 stiff at 105 grams and the MMT 125 TX at 125 grams.
Sucks.
I would much rather try the Recoil 95, Recoil Proto, Recoil 110. When I dial in the Recoil I was hitting I pick up more height and carry it another 6 yards. I really liked those numbers better than the MMT but I was more consistent with the MMT. Today Iâm down in Cohassett for a fitting. Iâm going to put a Recoil together and put it aside and hit it as often as I can. I wouldnât mind getting used to that over the MMT

Because typical graphite iron shaft users are seniors. And OEMs think us all to be weak & slow. It is your 'upsell', for faster ss and more distance. Embrace the graphite in your kit!! Cater to the elderly! Push for a 'Senior's Fitting Day'. $$$$$$They got pensions and SS.

That's true. It's too bad more players in the 40-60 year old range don't consider heavier graphite. Half of them are wearing some sort of brace or whatever and could use graphite's shock absorbing properties. I think going graphite is the equivalent of going up in loft on your driver though lol.
