DC300 Coming from the manufacturing (and measurement) world, I know about tolerances, but I guess I'm surprised that heads, or most anything else, could still be so far off in some cases. It's 2020 and we have a LOT of technology that should ensure at least relatively tight tolerances.

This is at least partly why I always loved getting the handpicked Wishon heads. I had the fitter check a # of driver heads, including a few Wishons, and he noticed the Wishons were all very nearly square and 11*. I told him I had those handpicked that way and he was a bit surprised I got what I asked for lol.

If before Diamond you got the heads measured on Green Machine and adjusted by Tom. That's why they were correct and right on spec.

scotts33 Yes I haven't bought anything since Diamond took over. Apparently they closed my account as I can't get back in lol. I probably should never have been allowed in to begin with since I've never had a storefront, but I called when they first opened and they didn't say no.

hmmm wonder if this is why I’ve got a small fade with the maltby and a light pull with the ping? Differences in face angle. I’ll have to play around with that adapter on the maltby.

colej what setting? Assuming neutral, but ...

It's weird there is no 0.5* closed or 1.0* closed, jumps from square to 1.5* and 2.0* closed. 🤨.

Anywho, since you are our superuser.....how does it look in neutral, which coincidentally is the most open vs. the highest loft setting?

          TIA

KCee if you ever have the itch contact them, they will set you up. They have been good to work with to date. Likely a good thing though, avoiding all the ho,ing!

pellmell turns out you are correct! What's with all the over analyzing☝️😲😷

yes the “N” setting. In that setting it appears to sit pretty square to me. I’ll have to try and play around with it.

Also.....is the adapter like an original Callaway with the single cog that rotates freely around the adapter and loft is set that way vs. having to turn the entire shaft with adapter?

                  ode

correct shaft will stay in the same position but the single cog rotates around.

colej cool.....always preferred this style of adapter!

                      ode

yes me too! although I really like the dual cog adapter Calloway now uses.

colej definitely more adjustability! I just like being able to align the shaft anyway you want independent of the loft/lie adjustment......for those that still flo, its $.

ode I've tried e-mailing them a couple of times, but I never get a response. It probably is best as I really don't need anything, but yet the new Golfworks stuff is calling to me as well.

KCee you are able to get their complete catalog now..... aftermarket shafts, grips, supplies, etc. So if you ever wanted, it's a one stop shop, and they have some brands you cannot get elsewhere. Ok, I'm probably not helping 🤨😎....back to discussing the Maltby driver!

Just went to the golfworks site to check out their deals.
WTF - lots of items they say can not be shipped to my country?
