Maltby KE4 Tour TC driver....
Where'd you play?
KCee I believe tolerances have gotten better, but if you read the spec sheets, they will tell you the tolerance they accept. Usually +-1on all specs, which can lead to a really bad fit. The availability to manufacturer tighter is there, but as you know, the tighter you want, the more you pay and profits are key. The other thing is 99.8% of guys will not know the difference between and have no way to measure it without more effort than its worth. So I still wouldn't be shocked if a head is stamped at 10.5 and 11.9 is pushed through.
I think of it more like TM, Cally, etc are competing in the muscle car ranks, like a mustang, camaro etc and their best are towards a Corvette. Good tolerence is needed, but not demaned like the Ferrari, which would be more like the Honma etc.
Golfworks can hand pick, but what they actually do/what gauge they use?? They are also limited to stock. I once asked for a GS driver head to be picked to square and the closest they could get was 0.5 closed, there was a note on the invoice saying they checked a whole box/case or something like that ..... Not sure how many are in a box/case.
205 is still light but maybe I'm old school where a stock driver weight was 200g, 3 wood was 210g etc
ode I have a few 14s. I was going to make a shorter 3 wood. After it came in I became weak and ordered a hot melt gun (which just came today). I may goo this bad boy so badly that I am rocking a 42 inch UFW 3 wood that is as muted as a persimmon. I know Colej said that it sounds like an aluminum bat, but probably not after I add 10 grams of hot melt
