FGI >> GolfBuzz
I was in FGI since maybe the beginning (1999?). It was a lot of fun in the beginning but, like a many things in life and, in my opinion, it didn't evolve the right way and adapt to user needs.
I met some really nice people both in the forums and in real life through the site.
But, it's a well know law of nature, either you adapt or you disappear.
There was also GolfDope which I liked.
Let's all hope that GolfBuzz learns from these examples and will survive longer.
Well, a shift back to Australia from the States, I go to find FGI and it was goneski ... Glad to have found familiar people here.
Just played my first rounds after getting some major surgery, and glad to be back swinging. Of course, now I have to go find some new clubs ...
Welcome to the Buzz!! It's essentially FGI 2.0. Tons of former members here, and the man that created FGI.
Yeah... there are still great guys like Sixtyfour hanging around. Great guy, classy guy! Years back (12 to be exact) Tom helped me set up a great itinerary for a trip to Paris. Turned out to be a great trip. I'll never forget arriving at our hotel and at the front desk getting a written message: "Welcome 64". Blew me away! (I still have all his correspondence from 2004.)
Ok, so I took the bait and ran with it. BAAB told me about the loss of FGI.
Justin, thank you for doing this. Sorry I couldn't make Desert Storm this year. If I knew you were going to be here I would have tried to find time to catch up.
I'll be around lurking and looking for the any reason to give Spuzz some shit.
welcome friend
Another one is back...cool. This place is basically a purged fgi membership list!
Darthfader I'll be around lurking and looking for the any reason to give Spuzz some shit

Emoji info - I learned something new on Facebook yesterday. I noticed that I no longer had an icon to select emoji's/emoticons. After fiddling with it for sometime I realized that this started when I updated my PC to Windows 10. After some research I found out how to do it, and it works for other programs like this one.
On a Win 10 PC you have to right click the mouse in the windows task bar to bring up a new pop up window. Click on "Show touch keyboard button". It will place an icon in the bottom right of the taskbar that looks like a tiny keyboard next to the date and time. When doing a reply click on that icon and select the smiley face and select the emoji that you want and it will place the emoji wherever your cursor is. The icon stays in the taskbar until you toggle it off.
