Yes, you will draw more per month if you wait, but if you figure how much you will have drawn out already by 65 it will take several years (into your 70's) drawing at the 65 rate just to catch up with what you have drawn out at the earlier age. A SSA break even calculator will tell you how to compare the two. Basically, if you retire at 66 it will take you until age 75 to have received the same total amount that you would have received if you retired at 62.
