FauxAmish Good move. I got the shingles last July, and you do not want them.

I got the old vaccine when I turned 62. The new vaccine is much more effective. You have to get two vaccinations 6 mos. apart. I just got the second. I got the first vaccine after seeing a friend get shingles in his eyes. Anyone who had chicken pox as a kid has that dormant virus that can come to life any time.

Rickochet I bought a Shingrix shingles vaccine shot.

Just had that same shot yesterday ( the 2nd dose),don't know about you
but I had a pretty bad reaction to the shot.
My right arm (where the needle went),feels like it'd been hit with a sledge hammer plus my
whole body feels like crap.
After reading up on this "new" vaccine, flu like symptoms and pain in the injection site are pretty
common for 2-3 days.....I guess it's a LOT better than getting shingles though.

Sure glad our insurance covered the cost, otherwise $280 is a bit steep to feel like crap!

My arm is a little sore but not too bad. After the first shot I felt puny for 2 or 3 days. Not bad but just not normal. I read there were 7 possible side effects and I had 5. This must be pretty common since the pharmacist asked how I handled the first shot. Not a big deal and beats the crap out of getting shingles.

Forgot to post here last week when I ordered them, but I bought 2 Indi Golf wedges and a Tour Edge putter. Gonna play them in the morning, weather permitting.

had it out at the range over the weekend -- was hitting it straight, which is a miracle for me. I'll hope to get it out on the course soon

        And in honor of Spuzz:

Tried this -- shaft was an A flex -- too soft for me, but seemed pretty long when I squared it up. It's really loud

My prescription cost for a 10 day supply of pills, taken 3 times daily, was $296.00. That's in addition to the doctor's fee and other.
So $280.00 for the shots seems rather trivial. 🤔

I don't recall what the first shot cost in Jan. but the second one was a $30 copay and the receipt said it saved me $145 from Medicare/Humana. I also got a Hep-A first dose in Jan and I think it was about $75 copay and I get the second dose soon.

Sparky YES-- TC is very good. I really like the TS-2. TS-1 are very good-- but the TS-2 are deadly accurate and really good looking in 9-PW-- more than I had expected. I think it may be mostly mental-- but the TS-2 are confidence inspiring to the point I am not interested in playing any of my other two sets.. That is a first!

Initial thoughts on the TC-#3 wood. HIGH launching. Solid as heck in feel. Great profile at address. Will see if distance can be good enough to replace my RBZ II Tour... a tall order..

Odyssey Exo Indanapolis putter. Not quite a Golfsmith NCC-1701, but pretty close. I gave the old C-Ray another chance at the bag, but it didn't shine.

johnnydoom On a lot of courses the gold tees are the tips, but for some reason the course we played at last week the gold tees are the senior tees, the next back from the ladies tees. I don't know if gold is for golden years or why they did that.

Usually goes black, blue, white ,gold, red around here. It makes sense to get rid of the red tees and the stigma they bring. I'll play anything from 6200 down, prefer probably about 5800 if I could .

Thanks for the reminder, I have to get my second.

I think I had a slightly sore arm after the first. Only could feel it when working out. Hope the second goes as well.Never gave shingles a thought till my Dad got it.

ptjn1201 I'd be real interested in a review when you get a good shaft in it. I remember being intrigued by it when I saw a video, but the cost was a non starter for me.
