How old are Golfbuzzers?

I'm refraining from posting my age because ZWE called me an "old prick" in another thread. He was nice enough to delete it, but I don't want to empower him, as I believe he's in his 30's. Anyone 40 or above is probably "old" to him.

I get what you're saying. I'm actually surprised by the postings. I guess I saw most everyone as a lot younger. Thought DC might have been a little bit older.

Have lots of questions for those that are my seniors but I'll hold'em as I don't want this simple exercise to go in another direction.

I hear what you're saying, BB......after walking 18 holes yesterday I came home, got on my inversion table until my back "cracked" a couple of times, did a couple of yoga stretches, ate dinner, then took a very hot bath in epsom salts!
Once my body "gets used" to playing golf again, I won't have to do all this stuff, but I've learned to be a little proactive if I want to feel good the next day.....

So, the word "old" was the inaccurate part?

Spuzz I guess I was absent that day! I was pretty active in the old FGI days although not so much at the end. When this place started I was busy with starting a new job, kids, etc.

Something for you to look forward to: When I was 45 I also was swinging X-Flex (in woods) and continued to do so until about age 50. I was stiff flex in everything else. Now at age 69 I'm between Regular flex and Senior flex. My driver and irons are regular flex (although I have another shaft for the driver that is senior flex that I switch back and forth). My fairway wood is senior flex as is one of my 5 hybrids.

Ditto for me as well. Plus we hit from the Senior tees and don't get to the spot in the fairways where we used to land hitting from the tips 20 years ago. Still OK. Senior tees really help keep the game fun.

...wait, that may be based upon how I act and not a compliment at all.

My home course is under 6000 from the whites, but it's tight as heck. Lots of heavy woods and OB as well as uneven fairways. There's even OB on the inside of the course. It's not a course you can overpower. The advantage for the big hitter is that they can club down; they can't really go over the trees for the most part. I've always lived nearby and avoided playing it because I felt it was too punishing. I only joined because of a fantastic 2 year deal, but it really beat me up last year lol.

My hat is always off to people that play the appropriate tees. My course is a horror show in regards to that.

KCee True, I tend to forget my heritage... unless its second breakfast.

When people ask me what I've been up to I sometimes say "living like a 20-something, way past my expiration date". Its fitting.

I'm 64. I'll be 65 in September when I'll retire and start playing more golf.
