Would love to see Phil finally win it, but it's going to be Day.

Seems like the key to Oakmont is practice, practice, practice:

288 yard par 3......................stupid.
I don't have anything to add, I just wanted to say I joined in on one of these.
Another Mike Davis setup snoozefest...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Love it or hate it the US Open certainly proves who the best player is that week. I like to see these guys struggle with a course once in awhile. While 20 under par is a fun to watch birdie fests they do get boring at times. Seeing a pro having to pitch out of the rough as we usually do is nice once a year.
Been watching live feed at work this morning. Mostly weather delay, but the mic is still on, so hearing a lot of rain shower noise.
Andrew Landy doesn't seem to mind the weather.
The name Matt Kuchar jumped out at me for no particular reason when I looked at the leaderboard.
It is amazing how long AND accurate Dustin Johnson is off the tee. Well, in the first two rounds, anyway.
Go DJ,waaaay overdue!
Gawd this place is dead.....
The "unknown" status of the penalty may bite him. Unfair in my opinion!
Agree the USGA is becoming too much of the story in golf lately....
If DJ said he didn't cause his ball to move that s/b good enough!
The vid seems to back him up also.
Even other players are saying it's a bunch of crap for an official to even say something to him til after the round.
The USGA president sounds like she's had a few too many chardonnays!
jamez
I agree, seems unfair to have a ruling decided by the official with the group only to hear that it is under review and will be ruled upon once again after the round is over. Does this mean a player could incur further penalties because a ruling can be overturned? The integrity of the game demands that a correct score card is too be signed after the round, then how is the integrity maintained if the USGA can change the score card after the round?
