PING Eye 2 irons.........PICS!!
- Edited
Maybe you can swap the G400s for a putter Typhoon has.
Was going to try for Eye2 or i3 O-size earlier this year until meagain put the Raptures with the shafts I was looking for up for sale.
Ya know Johnny...I was thinking that earlier in the thread!!!
Just another one of Unc's sales pitch threads..... coming soon.
You ever play G20 irons? Can't imagine they're any different than any of the other G series. Ya think?

Merry Christmas nephew. Hope the injury heals quick!
The G20 irons are very similar to the G10, and G15, but very different than the G2, G5, G25, G30, G, G400. This thread is about the Eye 2 series, however.
The old 1988 Eye 2's went back in the bag a couple weeks ago. I've carded some of the best rounds of the years since. As with Steve, no reason to ever relegate them to "time out" in the basement. Yet, the other iron sets do deserve a few hours of sunshine every few months.
So guess next year I'll take out my old ripped up fixed with duct tape Ping bag with my copper eye 2's for a spin.
sdandrea1 The Ping Eye 2's will play much better with new shafts, the originals are like rebar, try something in a softer R flex. I'm hereby formally withdrawing my offer of $60 for your 400's, now that I realize they will be on the market shortly. I can just as easily play lousy golf with mt G2's.

The FST 115 trimmed to a senior flex per their chart are perfect for me and I have them in several sets. I plan to ream my Eye 2's and put them in my set. I don't have the heads pulled yet (yuck, stinky Ping glue) but I read that Ping heads tend to be a bit on the light side. Is this correct?

Found a set of BeCu on the cheap. MicroTaper shafts. Working on the heads now. This is a halfway point for me. I may get them tumbled and painted, but am tempted to buy a tumbler. Some before and after pics. Coke soak and an Acetone soak. The 7 -W were nasty. There are some stubborn spots in the 5, 9, and W cavities. Might leave the paintfill out of the cavities, might not. Either way, they're gonna get some play and the patina shall return.
Those are beautiful.
Nice, hope they get dark again real soon
You have a bastard child in the group with the Zing wedge.
I love the finish, love the grind! Pretty much everything else about the eye2 is butt ugly. Like looking down at a friggin duck hook with metal pipe hitting a boulder! But the turf interaction be nice
