colej Yeah it happens. I think they’ll also suspend you if you post a ad too soon/close to your last ad.

I now wonder if they are secretly operated by the USGA...................

There’s a helluva lot more they could be worried about other there.

Dude.... metaphorically speaking, that site is like the 3rd world country of golf message boards.

They did you a solid by letting you go.

I posted there several years ago talking about how smooth Freddy Couples' swing was, and was cyberly castrated by some of the idiots there. Buffoon is much too kind of a description to describe the intellect of the average poster at that place.

Not Nick Price... not Jim Furyk... but Freddy Couples! lol 😝

I must agree it is way too easy to get an account and post. There are some kids (I suspect) who live in their mommy's basement and wage keyboard war. I see so much crap tolerated and then get the axe on a nit. No worries here........I have you guys!

Seems excessive....and they selectively enforce rules over their especially in the bst. I was given a 10 day TO for posting this pic in a thread-

I made sure to let the moderator know how appreciative I was of being held accountable😘

Start posting over here that you’re working on a fade because all of the fairway bunkers on your course are predominantly 340 - 360 off the tee and your birdie production is suffering slightly due to having to hit too many second shots from them. You tried feathering your 12 deg. 3 wood but the ball tends to balloon from excessive spin. You will probably be invited right back in.

Lol! I should add that my Miura Baby Blades might need adjustments.......

Par4QC I was barred, for life, after posting I use R flex graphite shafts.

I admitted I use A Flex graphite and they thought i was kidding........so they suspended me for deleting my ad after i sold the clubs. Seems fair.

I'll be able to read yer posts and "like" them but can offer no defense. Too easy!😉

scotts33 Agreed! I like to look at ads to see what people are asking for things to get an idea of price, and the damn info is wiped out.

I sold an Adams strong 3-wood over there and it was the worst onine buying/selling experience of my life. Guy I sold it to was stalking me and trashing me. If memory serves, he was some hotshot attorney. I guess he thought since I was new over there I was going to be intimidated. He was trying to get me to give him a concession on the club because my pictures weren't good enough. The pics were good and fully representative of the club's condition. I stood my ground and he finally went away.

It was a wonderful feeling when I left that stuffy site. I didn't realize grown men could be that childish until I posted there for awhile.

I have never been comfortable with the GWX crowd and don't go there much. I still visit GEA on occasion. Anyone remember Ham and Egg or Bombsquad?

They are dicks about the classified adds, in a way it’s kind of good. You have to have 75 posts, not more than one add at a time, old one has to be closed before a new one goes up, no incessant bumping, etc. Where they get crazy is, suspending people for not following the exact rules, no warning, just poof done. One of the old rules used to state any pulled shaft must have grips removed to prove there was no extension, but people wanted the grips left on so it didn’t add to the cost of every shaft. Put a set of iron shafts up, left the grips on, sold them, got suspended AFTER, they sold because I hadn’t followed that rule. I protested, found about 10 other adds with the same thing, probably got all those people in trouble too, just trying to prove it was a stupid rule.

The good thing is, they aren’t near as cheap as all you guys here, at least there I get reasonable offers, just the other day a guy was willing to give me $16 shipped for a full set of Callaway irons, sight unseen! We all know I’d never get more than 75% of that here.

I think the point of the rule is to make sure all the info is still there in case of a dispute about the item sold.

I'm on a self-imposed mission to see if I can actually keep a set of irons for a year. I'm 6 months in, so while $36 is REALLY tempting, I'll have to pass.😉

          • DonM replied to this.

scotts33 Why do posters delete information on an equipment sale? Other than adding SOLD.

It's an old habit from my days in IT. Useless data that does not need to be archived should be deleted. I tend to clean up disk space when I'm done with it.
