Reed claims Spieth didn't want to be paired with him in RC.
One thing Reed did was insure he'll never be a captain's pick. Although he played well on Sunday, he would've shot in the 80's with his own ball before that.
Reed is a hard guy to like and that's going to limit the number of guys who want to play with him. Also, he kind of thru Tiger under the bus by insinuating the reason he didn't play well was because he wasn't paired with Spieth.
I'm not nationalistic with these type competitions especially when in this case many of the European players live here. I did lose interest once it became a blowout. Maybe the whole team should've done what Justin Thomas did in playing the French Open this year.
Weirfan there is something terribly wrong inside that room and we are seeing glimpses of that with koepka nd DJ having gotten into a very thatening and heated argument to be pulled apart from each other. Dysfunctional is too kind a word to describe the US team.

happened at the Euro celebration party , people are keeping tight lipped which they should as it reflects poorly in the event and US players but a few leaks and apparently very heated argument Koepka was the aggressor and threatened DJ. I'm sure alcohol was involved

I think you were the first person in this thread to mention the term "dysfunction."
Dustin Johnson has a history of not being able to control his "johnson." He's a horn dog and has never met a woman he didn't think he couldn't satisfy in bed, even if it's another tour player's wife. He should've been a porn star instead of a pro golfer, me thinks. Good luck with that realization, Wayne Gretzky.
Bubba needs Webb, or else he pouts, holds his breath and jumps up and down until he gets his way. Spieth needs JT to carry his sorry ass play. Fowler can get along with anyone, could be paired with anyone, but his mannerisms suggested that there was something bad going on within the team room. Spieth didn't want to play with Reed, despite their success. Despite Reed's record in this event. Reed said f-it, I'm gonna call him out on it. Mickelson sucked, per usual, Tiger sucked, per usual.
What have I missed?

If Spieth wanted to play with JT more than Reed, so what? Spieth and JT were a successful team. Period. Even so, I tend to agree with Reed's other comments. With his RC record Furyk shouldn't have sat him. Speaking of Furyk, his RC record looks worse than Tiger or Phil's.

Which explains why they were never paired as everyone thought they would be. Furyk might not be the fool we assume.
PA-PLAYA Hence my call for a non-golf captain - like Ditka, who won't take any crap from the prima donnas. Maybe the PGA should go to 12 Captain's picks so they can eliminate the azzhats and egos and go with 12 guys who want to be there.

Can you imagine JT or Webb Simpson trying to hold back Koepka or DJ? THAT could have been some team bonding there - three or four guys each trying to hold back those gorillas, and Bubba watching it all in tears while Reed steals money out of their luggage and Phil naps.
