It's frustrating. Just hang in there and don't lose faith, my friend. We get all worked up about crap that in the end isn't worth the time nor energy.
My brother-in-law received an emergency call from his son this past weekend. My bro-in-law was on a fishing trip up at Lake George in upstate NY this weekend, didn't have his cellphone with him at the time. By the time he got the message, several hours later, he received the news via voicemail that his wife (who was vacationing at the Jersey shore that same day) had a massive heart attack while at the Jersey shore and didn't survive. His youngest, his son, was the the one who got the call since her husband wasn't available.... his son called his dad, telling him what had happened. He made the 7 hour trip back from Lake George in upstate NY several hours after his wife of 61 years had passed away.
Picking up his brother from PHL tomorrow, funeral is Saturday....
Sometimes God has a way of reminding us of what is most important. He and his wife have two kids, both of which are grown and making their own lives. The youngest was the one called to identify the body, and was the one who was left to call his dad to inform him of things.
I cannot imagine what went through his mind on the trip back home, or the suffering they're all dealing with this evening...
I'm picking up his brother from Philly airport tomorrow afternoon, the funeral is Saturday.
Just to provide some perspective.... I'm sure you can appreciate.
Not to minimize your situation, but there are far greater things in the overall scheme of things.
Just felt like sharing this with you.
