DJ's game is almost not fair. I think yesterday he hit driver/SW on a 476-yard par 4. WTH?!?

rsvman I actually did something similar a two weekends ago. 474yd par 4, hit the longest drive my of life @ 358yd, then hit SW from 117 (flag distance.)

So yeah, DJ and I are basically the same person.

And the there was one......DJ only golfer at under par.

No one has ever won the St. Jude, then the U.S. Open the following week.

DJ's managed his game very well, taken his medicine when he's been in trouble, kept bogey his worst score. His length is such an tremendous advantage, but it's only an advantage if his focus and course management are on the same page.

The test will only get tougher over the weekend.

Who knows what the situation might be come Sunday afternoon. Lots of golf left to be played.

Happy to see my wildcard, Fleetwood sitting in 4th. The question becomes, will DJ let anyone back in contention?

azgreg Ouch. One thing for sure is this one won’t be over until the winner finishes it out. Looks like eighteen (and several other holes) hits hard like how this dude got it.

      LMAO
Phil with a regular guy moment.

I would expect as much from someone like John Daly. But not Phil Mickelson.

I think the way he's always conducted himself compared to that moment today will be something he regrets for a long while.

He was clearly frustrated, but I've never seen him do something of that nature. I've never seen him "quit" on a round of golf, up until today. And as a lifelong fan of him, I just find it very disappointing.

        PA-PLAYA
I agree with most of what you say, but I think Phil is past the point of fucks given.

btw, this thing is far from over.
        😮

        DJ shitting the bed today
        makes things real interesting now

Something has changed this year. Koepka says his ball moved and we didn’t get 47 high def closeups of it moving or any announcers questioning whether or not he caused it to move.

Go Finau, way to be a lounge chair leader!

Tough to think that two guys that had 44 players ahead of them could be in the lead going into the last round. Closing an 11 stroke differential is one thing, leapfrogging 42 of the 44 players ahead of you is something else entirely. Rub of the green in the extreme. Be fun to see what happens tomorrow.
