Again, as a touring professional.... Not been accused of cheating on his wife, as a tour professional. Not been accused of cheating on the course as a tour professional. Has no known record of PED's use or substance abuse records during this time as a touring professional. Has no known record of acting unprofessional during his professional career. Seems to be happily married with a family and prefers to stay to himself.
I recall Hogan being the same way professionally, based on all that I've read about him through the years.
No amount of digging in his adolescent teenage past changes any of those things I mention. Yet these things were reported on earlier in his pro career, and no one gave it a second thought. And then suddenly all of that changes on the eve of him winning the first major of his career. Again, what does any of this have to do with how he's lived his life the past 7 years on tour as a touring pro?
Should it make him a less-worthy major champion or bring his professional character into question? Yes or no?
And if your answer is no, then why spend so much time arguing that it should?
