  • Spoiler Alert - Phil Mickelson and Hattan tied going into 18 from WGC Mexico

Phil wins it despite lipping his birdie putt on the first playoff hole. Justin couldn't get up and down from off the green.

Hats off to Phil....

Phil just doesnโ€™t give up. Thatโ€™s what I most like about him.

Plus hes an old guy, a great player , a really nice guy, incredibly generous ......whats not to like?

Love how the tournament sponsor went on about the time he spent with fans and kids and how he was the fan favorite.

Now, a Phil Masters win would be awesome !

Nice work, Lefty!! New Enbril commercials coming soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It looked good as soon as he hit it... remarkable shot. The kid's got some enormous talent.

But the day belonged to Philly Mick. I guess there's some consolation losing to someone of his stature, versus just about anyone else.

Phil played some great golf yesterday.

I've been watching bits and pieces recorded from this past weekend, who's the Hatton bitch???

Just another kid who can win on any given week if he's putting well and tries not to think too much about his game plan going into Sunday. English guy, 26 years old, turned pro back in 2011.

A lot of these guys are just bound by this mental block that they need to play conservative on the weekends, not make huge mistakes, etc... what they forget is that the way the played three days prior that got them into contention is the same way they need to play on Sunday. But to his credit - he shot 4-under on Sunday. It wasn't like he wasn't trying to win. Pretty impressive.

Kid made over half a million yesterday.

I was just talking about his little hissy fits. I figure anyone out there is capable of winning.

Par4QC That could have happened. C'est la vie. The PGA's response also seems plausible. Neither Hatty nor Mick seemed especially slow to me but I only watched the last 5 holes or so. Who knows. Bay Hill starts tomorrow!

I watched it all and I did not see anything slow although it is tough to determine on TV. The announcers never mentioned anything except maybe that they were on the clock. I am sure Hatton had some nerve issues and maybe blamed the clock. It reminds me how many times I see a pro miss a short putt and they immediately tamp down spike mark.

Phil just laughed because he knew nothing would happen and Hatton actually believed the official because they do enforce rules on his tour.
Won't be the last time it happens.

Sounds like Hatton is a sore loser.....call the Whaaaambulance for the crybaby.

As the article says, official was within his right to put those in the group on the clock who he determined to be playing slow.

Man, if I see a spoiler alert title like this that has to do with a tournament I am PVRing (say, the Masters), I'll be hunting someone down.

Weirfan As the article says, official was within his right to put those in the group on the clock who he determined to be playing slow.

A PGA Tour Rules official who time clocks anybody has zero credibility and may as well come out in clown shoes to issue a warning.
