Say hi for me
and to you as well
🙂

Try for some TV time too
That would be hilarious.

13 players within 3 shots of Ricky. He plays well here and has an impressive record so I don't see him going backwards and letting more in the field in to challenge. I think he shoots around 4 under so it is going to take someone to go 5, 6 or even 7 under to win it.

Spuzz that too, seems like his 1 plane swing is prone to the pull hook on the clubs that aren't 1 length, ie driver and 3w...a bit over the top at times.

It's not a major, so Rickie shouldn't have to worry about shitting the bed today. Definitely competing with Phil as the local favorite, with Phil enjoying a slight edge. Mickelson has won this event 3x... going for his fourth this afternoon.

Based on the history over the past 10 events here, the margin of victory has been one stroke on four occasions. Playoffs have been required on 5 occasions. Mickelson won his last Phoenix Open back in 2013 by 4 strokes to be the lone margin-of-victory exception during that period. I think (?) that was the same year he fired an opening-round 60, which tied his career-low round as a professional.

Rahm, Reavie and Bryson a stroke back at 13-under. Schauffele, Mickelson and Berger two back at -12, and about a half-dozen guys 3 shots back at -11.

The odds are very good that 2-3 guys could be in a playoff come the end of the round. And, FWIW... Mickelson is the only player in contention who has won this event the same weekend the Patriots ended up winning the SB, and oddly enough it was the Patriots vs the Eagles back in 2005.

So although it goes against my nature to root against Phil - I'm sure Sneakylong is! lol

Spuzz and Justin Thomas had another hissy fit today

Her really doody's his drawers. Starts off with 6 birdies and shoots even par. He one handed a tap in and knocked it 4 feet away for a 3 putt. Nice attitude. 😡

First time I got to watch Bryson. Looks like a flat lie kill the ball guy. Any thing a little tricky not his game.

Uh oh. Bryson just did #2 on #3. 😣

Dang, he sharted again on #4. 😳

Go Phil go! Would be happy to see either Bryson or Rickey win if not him.

Bryson would do well to leave the analytics on the range and go play golf when he’s competing.

The boy looks like someone stuck a 2x4 up his ass when he swings or makes a putting stroke.

Entirely too much tension and information overload going on imo.

Not many people have become great in this game with the “swing by numbers” style of play.

PA-PLAYA Bryson would do well to leave the analytics on the range and go play golf when he’s competing.

I keep telling everyone that it's the hat but nobody listens. 😜

Woodland's save on the playoff hole was phenomenal. Good to see him win.... even though he has Jayhawk head covers. Really a good kid!!!

Gary had to pull out of the Match Play last year to head home when his pregnant wife called and said something was wrong and was on the way to the E.R. They lost one of the twins so Gary was understandably emotional in giving the post match interview.

limpalong - I wouldn't be surprised if Robert Streb wasn't one of the first guys to text Gary congratulations. I also didn't realize Chez Reavie was born in Wichita until a friend in FL sent a text.

Had no idea about Reavie being born in Wichita. And, I agree, the KU/KSU competitiveness is simply my noticing Woodland's head covers today. I would assume Streb and Woodland have played quite a few rounds together.

Thought I noticed Reavie did not remove his hat when they shook hands after the playoff hole. Certainly don't want to say anything because these old eyes miss lots.

Didn't watch a lot of the tournament. Turned it on when it began to air this afternoon. Then, the "senior snooze time" seemed to make my eyes close for a while. When I woke in my recliner, it was a shoot out. Michelson even had a chance. Thought sure with Woodland finishing so far ahead of the rest of the field, someone would catch or beat him on those last few holes. Just another fun golf tournament to watch the last few holes of.

limpalong - Reavie and Woodland hugged before they teed off in the playoff. I'm sure there were a lot of guys in that locker room that were cheering for Gary as they know about the hell Woodland went thru last year with his wife's miscarriage. Woodland missed some tour starts because that little boy in his arms today was a pre-mee and spent a long time in the neo natal unit.

Bryson recovered nicely on the back after puking his guts out on the front. Nice top 10!

Gotta feel good for Gary Woodland,he and his wife really needed this! 👍
