Yeah, the McDonald brothers were the real pioneers behind fast food. Ray just essentially took it (some might even say stole it) and made it universal. I found it interesting that his financial advisor (I think?) told him that the real money was in the real estate leases that the restaurants were built on. You could tell that Ray (based on the movie anyway) had seriously overlooked that specific revenue angle.
So the McDonald's brothers were behind the fast food concept, clearly. But the drive-thru concept, which wasn't brought up in the movie, is just as revolutionary imo. During the last year, specifically, a lot of these fast food places have not missed a beat despite not having dine-in customers. Think about how many would've gone out of business if they didn't have drive-thru capabilities!
