What Are Your Favorite Wedges - Component Or OEM?
My favorites right now are Cleveland CBX Full Face wedges. They seem to work for me. My favorite component wedges were the original Snake Eyes that Golfsmith had. I can't remember what they were called though. I still miss a lot of the Snake Eyes stuff.
I also miss my Accuspin (Purespin clone) sandpaper wedges.
This thread has me bouncing back and forth to Ebay, lol....
ode colej the 431 look like they have quite a bit of relief on toe/heel/trailing edge vs. the chrome mist/shadow 2.0. Also looks like 431 has a straighter leading edge, but ??
I think the bounce was 10 degrees on the 58 which makes me question how it sits.... is the leading edge raised up because of it!
The modeo wedges look nice for $25. They are similar to the avatar wedges.

These would be about perfect. Nice sole grind. Forged...really nice. I had a black maltby 58 years ago...no issues besides fast wearing black coating.
Another wedge comparison pic. Top is a 48° Inazone Microgroove and the bottom one is a 50° Acer XB Satin.
At address the Microgroove looks huge compared to the XB.

Sparky I think I need to carry 10 wedges.
Ha, right now I likely have close to 10....different grinds and bounce for different seasons and conditions
have 5 in the bag but my scoring is the best in years so not likely to change as short game is a big reason for that. Sometimes I carry 15 but in comps obviously not and drop one of 4iron, 3hybrid or 4wood depending on the course being played.
