Thanks for the review, glad you like them. They are awesome wedges.
Announcement from OMG Golf

Back to the shaft conversation from before Thanksgiving. If you want special KBS Tour tipping for your OMG wedges when ordering let me know. For example if you play regular but want stiff tipped like an 8 iron no problem. Whatever special tipping you want or custom length we can do. No special tipping on the Aldila NV shafts, they are butt trim only. Special lengths are available though.
If you are a club builder send me a private duscussion or email me at cpanther1995@gmail.com we can talk about options.
Whatever you want we can do.

I just got mine form Rick cpanther1995, got the two for one deal. Took the wedge out last Wednesday when we had really wet conditions. Out on a close to muddy sand trap I dropped three balls. Now these traps are bad even went dry some of the worse I have ever played and the ball just comes out as it I was hitting off the fairway with a great lie. During the round I hit some off very wet sloppy lies and again it was like summer time, the ball just rose up high and dropped soft a couple times with a little draw back. Dropped one in the thick wet rough where I could barely see the ball and the darn wedge again just threw it out like it was nothing. Amazing so far.
Followed up that round Friday after two days of rain and of course the whole course was sopping wet. Had some trouble hitting normal shots because of the conditions, but again when I used the wedge there was no problem. Really surprised how well this thing works. While the looks of the sole is different it is what makes this thing work so well. There are two things about the wedge though. It is heavier feeling than my regular wedges and because the ball comes out with a nice high angle it does not go as far as my regular wedge. Perhaps with a stiffer tipped wedge it might work better if you don't like the higher flight. I played yesterday (Monday) and made an adjustment in my normal shots inside 50 yards and it worked great. Hit a couple shots to gimmie range from that distance.
All in all if you like the heft of a heavier wedge and getting the ball out of bad lies in the bunker, fairway and rough with ease this is a great tool to do it. All in all I would give this wedge an A as if does some things I wish my wedge would do. I have been playing Wishon wedges for years and I could not get out with a normal bunker swing. I did not have to use a sand trap shot to get the ball out just a normal from the fairway swing like with any iron. Steve Almo has been talking about doing a wedge for years and I wish he had done it back then. Thanks Steve and OMG.

Very thoughtful and detailed review.
Another round in the books, this time even wetter. I used some pro v1x and the ball was dancing on the green- this is very foreign to me as I've never got this much check on a golf ball, especially out of wet rough in the rain! Several nice chips won me some skins- these wedges should pay themselves off in no time!
Thanks for that great review. Remember if you want to build your own contact me via private discussion. If you want them built for you to your custom length, special tipping etc let me know.

I have a question about head size. I am an oversize shovel kind of guy. How big are these heads? I don't see any specs on the OMG website.

Sorry been crazy busy lately.
Heel to toe 75mm
Face height 55mm at the highest point.
Top line 4mm
As far as how it looks at address, from Shokosugi's review (IMO he is spot on)
"when looking from the address position, they look beautiful (which is what is important). I loved the lighter chrome color and combined with the moderate topline and compact shape, they look really nice! I was in the golf store the other day drooling over the Ping i200s and these OMG wedges looked very similar at address."
Thanks for the info.

Just my opinion but if you decide to buy this wedge you will not regret it at all. It is just amazing how easy they are to hit and in almost any condition on the course.

I won't get to swing another club until April so will wait for more reviews.

Bummer, well hope you have a better winter than normal.

Two things concern me. I am a digger and my divots look like flying squirrels. I would like to hear from another digger on how well these work. I would also like to hear how they work on tight lies and hard turf which is what I play on most of the year.
When I first got mine, I wondered how well I would do with them considering I was used to my Alphas and I had not played in a while due to foot surgery.
I can be a digger. Yes I've had my share of flying squirrels lol. All I can say is they performed perfect for me out of the gate. A bad shot is a bad shot and no club will cure that. However every approach shot was perfect. I'm horrible out of the sand and did great out of the kitty litter 1st try. A friend of mine who is a high handicapper scored his first birdie with these wedges.
Rick, have you become a shill?
Lol!!!
I honestly love these things. Not because I'm friends with Steve and Shawn. They flat out perform.
One of the reasons I jumped on here to help them promote the product is because I believe in the product.

Believe me, you and the other reviews have piqued my interest.
Steve did a good job with these. Seriously.

LBlack14 Rick, have you become a shill?
No, I am really looking for some wedges and have asked some questions about these. Why would asking questions about a product be considered shilling? I do not know Cpanther, Almo or his partner.
Also, I have another thread running about, "What are your favorite wedges."
Landon is a buddy and is just picking on me.
Seriously I don't think you'll go wrong with OMG.
