Landon: Update on the hip surgery please
And I wonder what this new socket is made of compared to the other as you can see through it.

Perhaps some type of composite material or plastic that is supposed to be better than your first one. How long has it been since your first hip job? It might be new tech and new materials. If so it would have been good if the Dr. would have explained the new gizmo. Did the same Dr. do both hips?

Basketball tournament? Where at my friend?

The rehab will be more intense for the total knee replacement. Your PT will be like a coach and teacher. Manage the pain and work hard with them and you will get a great outcome. Maybe get “10 yards back.”

Thanks for the advice. Didn’t go to physical therapy after my hip replacement, just did the exercises at home. It sounds like the knee will require PT. I’ll do the necessary work to get back to a life pain free. Can’t wait.
I had full left hip (I'm RH) done via anterior (front) approach Jan 2019. I skipped playing a year before surgery because it hurt so damn much & it just killed my mediocre swing by not being able (afraid) to get through to my left side. I was hanging back, flayling away with an arms-only swing ..... I hated playing because I couldn't keep up with anyone so I said frig it, I'm done.
I then skipped the year after surgery because I didn't want to try to start over & pick-up even more bad habits so I'm going to give it a go this spring.
As far as pain after joint replacement, none came as a result of surgery. My hip was bad for so many years I had begun making lots of compensations when playing golf, walking, bending, ...... just any moving. Geometrically and anatomically things were just out of alignment for years & I had some muscles I was overworking & some that weren't doing much at all. Surgery repaired my left hip joint and now I'm anatomically correct but it did nothing for my underworked/overworked muscles so I've been working on trying to get back to normal for a 70 yr old.
LB lives in a popular area! Nick’s gonna be there in March

Say you're coming down to my neck of the woods sometime soon for a Basketball tourney?
Where and when my friend???
Hammer4413 my bad Ham. Yes, Murfreesboro, Riverdale highschool. Pay and me will be checking in Sunday night the 26th, have games Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then leave after the game Wednesday.

Murfreesboro where MTSU is!!! Brett graduated from that University and played baseball 4 years. My car used to drive itself up there and back with me asleep at the wheel I went so often.
Depending on what's going on, whose in town here, and when Brett and family are going to do Christmas, I will definitely try to make one of the games. It'll be good to see you and watch Pay play basketball. When you find out the game time schedule shoot me an email or text and hopefully I can work it out.
