Hey Landon. How about an update on your hip surgery. I'm trying to hold off until this fall for my replacement but every day is a challenge. I'm interested in how you are doing since the surgery.
Hope it went well and you are now pain free.

That's awesome! Glad to hear that you are finally pain free. I'm ready to do it this fall. Everyone I've talked to said they wish they had done it sooner. I'm sure I will say the same thing.
Landon,
When you fix part of the chain, the other parts fall in to place and work better. So happy for you.
gllama,
Do it! You may know this already but I work with knee and hip replacement patients everyday. It changes your life for the good in so many ways.
Great news LB!
Braveheart, I know that you work with many who have undergone hip/knee surgeries and it is definitely life changing. I'm just waiting until we move to our new location before I do it. The last week has been tough for me pain wise, but having it done before or during our move just won't work. I can't wait until things settle down and I can finally take the step to be pain free finally after so many years.
Nice thread Gary!
I was just thinking of starting one since we hadn't had an update for a while, and we don't have a pm option.
Landon - glad everything is looking up for you buddy!!
Cool LB, sounds like the same remarks I get from the the guy that works with me and a couple guys at my course.
What's wrong with this picture?
Had my hip replaced in Oct. 2019. Now completely pain free and so happy I had it done. Life changing for me.
Now scheduled for a total knee replacement surgery on Dec. 13 after over 7 years of increasing pain. Expecting the same feeling of relief and gratitude for being pain free. Itβs amazing how chronic pain can wear you down physically and emotionally over time.
Par4QC You finally went off the deep end??
Had my 1st follow-up today, yesterday they cancelled on me. I don't like the different components in the left one- my left one, right one in the x-ray. Thinking that may be partially the reason for the lingering pain this time. They told me they were using a different company, but never said anything about the different design. The 1st one looks like it fit like a glove, the 2nd looks like a damn wedge and note the small gap where the piece goes into where they cut off the ball, groin area. That's where it's grabbing me, in the groin area. I asked him about it and he said it should be just fine. Look how it turns my leg inward as well. My wife says I'm making something out of nothing, but damn. I got spoiled on the 1st, I reckon.
And I wonder what this new socket is made of compared to the other as you can see through it.

Perhaps some type of composite material or plastic that is supposed to be better than your first one. How long has it been since your first hip job? It might be new tech and new materials. If so it would have been good if the Dr. would have explained the new gizmo. Did the same Dr. do both hips?

March 7, 2017, same Doc.
LB....My million dollar golfing buddy!
So happy for you.
One day my ass is gonna come to Mason
and I'm going to get to play with you again.
