sdandrea1 Rickochet Thanks Rick. I might just pull the heads from the Penleys and use them. The KuroKage and Apollos sound good too,
DC300 I picked up a couple Matrix Kujo shafts from DTG, $15 each, quality is impressive, I went with the 95 in X flex so our results aren't something to compare, but I can't imagine they would be bad.
ode I've got some from Wezsty golf when he was clearing out his stuff on eBay.....I think they are Stiff flex though.....I remember the weight being roughly 80-85g....if that interests you at all lmk....I can dig em up and.inspect some more

I remember reading some good things about them. They have S flex 3-8 iron, maybe you could soft step them??
sdandrea1 I just assembled the Dynacraft Prophet Tours I got from Vaughn, using Apollo Acculite 75 steel shafts. Gonna see how an 80g steel shaft feels/plays in comparison to an 80g graphite. ProSoft inserts in the Apollis.
garyt1957 sdandrea1 Might just be me but I think the Powerflex 501 shafts are horrible, not worth $5.
customgolfcenter garyt1957 Wow, you're the first person I've heard say that. It's actually a very well made filament wound shaft with a fairly stiff tip section, so you do need to have a slightly higher swing speed to use them. They're definitely not the right shaft for someone who is a slow swinger or needs help getting the ball up in the air. I've built countless full sets of irons as well as individual hybrids with these shafts for many different customers and have never had a complaint. In fact just the opposite, people go out of their way to let me know how much they love the shafts.
Fireballer I know this thread is old, but can anyone report back on the Matrix Kujoh from DT? They have them for under $9 which seems silly to me. I dont see how I cant buy them! Im probably going with Xstiff at 95g.
DC300 Fireballer The Kujoh is a rock solid option, I would say it’s pretty much middle of the road on basically everything, which is actually really nice. For the price, absolutely nothing better out there.
colej DC300 The kujoh and studio are both great options from matrix. Kujoh seems to play a bit softer, imo.
Fireballer Thanks for the replies. Are you guys playing them in wedges also? Ill be putting them in 5-pw xs pros and 50 54 58 in a zone cnc wedges
DC300 Fireballer I don’t have mine in wedges, don’t see why it would be an issue though. I have one in a pinhawk 5 iron and a couple in hybrids, I like them. They are controllable and that’s coming from a pretty big hitter.
