KCee Our group is considering saving money and joining the mens league at a public course
We are doing the same thing next season but different reason…Course we were members at, through no fault of theirs, has become a little too difficult for us geezers, particularly when we walk…Too many ups and downs and side hills plus the length, even from geezers tees is getting longer. We are going to rotate between 4 courses that are somewhat less hilly and more conducive to walking..
It's cold.
Everything comes in plastic....condiments, butter, PB, applesauce...just everything.
Why is it that they put all those creases...cavities if you will....in the bottles/jars, that you just cannot get the last tiny morsels of product out of?
Wasted money, being cheated.

To justify their not being recycled. Although, we've been lied to about recycling for decades.

Par4QC YOU should come to our place and be a marshal. They won’t let me do it because they know I’ll throw people off the course…. God forbid that happens
… they won’t be spending money at the bar afterwards which is apparently what’s it’s all about.
You say something to groups and you get,” I paid my money I’ll do what I want”…. That’s the part you don’t see Rex… the ignorant bullshit.
Another thing is people have no idea how long it should take to play. They say “we’re here for the day “… again, another selfish ignorant statement. They think paying greens fee makes them part owner of the course . We send the old guy out to marshal, he comes back accomplishing nothing, just says everyone is moving along fine. I don’t bother saying anything anymore… for some reason the idiots that play here never complain about pace of play after a 5+ hour round on a course where I can play the front 9 in under an hour.
When I play it’s during the week and if it’s slow I skip around not holes, join other groups for a hole or 2… whatever it takes to keep myself moving. The other pros laugh when I tell them how slow it is out there… they don’t want the confrontation either so it gets worse and worse.

Maybe twice. Gotta get them to understand that it's not just a 1 time thing.
Maybe only sell them 4 beers before the round, then another 4 at the turn.
Catch them drinking anything you don't sell, THEN kick them off the course. Them suppling alcohol you don't sell them cal effect your liquor license.
I know, none of this will EVER be implemented, unfortunately.

That's why I say marshall's are nothing but a joke. There is not 1 damn thing they can do to make any player leave.
As an employee of the course, with the rights, they can order them to leave. Then when they refuse, or laugh in their faces as they do at John's place, there is only 1 thing can be done. Call the police and have them arrested for trespassing.
It becomes illegal to be on the property when they have been ordered off.
Now, the point is....who has the authority to call police/press charges?
Not going to happen unless property damage has been done.
And if any marshall should put hands on any player, then they are subject to arrest and course is subject to lawsuit.
Said marshall is also open to death/dismemberment/disfigurement, etc.. Also an expense the course would not want to incur.

sdandrea1 I’ve actually told people they have to either skip a couple holes to catch up or be done, we’re getting too many complaints.
Nobody puts up a fight..I laugh because they act all tough and say, “ f this place, it’s a shithole anyway, we usually place somewhere nicer, we’re outta here”. Always something like that where they act rough in front of their friends. Or the owner who is a big crazy dude comes out and tells them to get out of the carts and we’ll drive them to the parking lot…. Nobody messes with him.
