I think had Sheffler known what had happened to cause the traffic backup, and had he known that the guy trying to stop him was more than just hired traffic security for the event…
But the cop wasn’t necessarily in the wrong neither. He was tasked with the enormous challenge of maintaining control of a tragic accident scene involving a lot of witnesses and investigators.
Sheffler’s impatience in the matter, although understandable given that he didn’t know the details, was nevertheless potentially dangerous.
I feel very sad for the family of this man who was struck by one of the shuttle buses and died. That’s the real tragedy here.
