ptjn1201 Yeah, this is a case where money doesn't necessarily buy happiness. Far too many golfers seeking out the pricey 'big name company' shafts and never 'look down'. At the little guys that sell great performing shafts at low prices.
Due diligence has found me a new supplier for shafts. I started out with HOF the 1st week they were in the shaft biz....actually before that I was buying Penley from him. I've used the shafts since, still do.
BUT....have found a replacement for them, at a lower price point, and with (I'll say) exact same performance. But, no one is buying them that I know of and I've more or less 'spouted off' about them many times here. And the seller is a member.
The Leveler shafts from @LogicalOne can't be beat. At least not for my SS, but they can be tipped to play stiffer. Jake has played them with his 120+ SS, tipped 1".
jmo, as always.
BTW.....if we could go back in time to FGI, you would find me saying the Green NV shaft to be 'the classic' shaft. It still is, all these years later. I just do not have that swing now, but would still use them if I did. Matter of fact, I do have one in a driver, that is .350 tip. I play it every summer, for nostalgic purposes.
