I used to think the same way...finally decided to get a professionals opinion. Now Im kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

mulegolf "The real question is whether the driver will work great at first and then get stubborn and quit working or will keep working for the whole season. Time will tell."

I have yet to find the club that worked the whole season. 😊

sdandrea1 I have yet to find the club that worked the whole season.

I acutally hit the DTG 175 for two seasons. I only changed because of the worst slump of my life including my irons. Slump be gone, DTG 175 might be back. I just need to give it some competition 😜

sdandrea1 Two seasons without a bad driving day? Holy Grail!

Some days were better than others, but overall very long and consistant. I might be the poster boy for the long and light fad. I did actually gain 30 yards on average. That is why I have three of these with matching shafts.

      Just laughing here Rick ...

Happens all of the time Pat. I guess people often read the title then jump to the end of the thread. I am sure I have done it myself. No big deal.

sdandrea1 Rick, how far do you live from the nearest sim?

I am an old fart. I don't remember. 😥 And the last time I did get into one at a big box store they had the numbers so jacked up for sales I couldn't believe it.

Sim? I don't need no stinkin' sim. 😛

Last sim I went to was at a store called International Golf in Yorktown, VA. It said I was hitting a TM Burner 270 yards. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Me too. I was hitting a taped up driver in a sim about 270. I bought it and got it on the course and was hitting it about 50 yards shorter. Fortunately a bud took it off my hands for what I paid for it.

And you did not roll it on your plastic ?

Rickochet was hitting a taped up driver about 270.

There you go, should have kept the tape on the driver, you took off the poon, when you peeled away the tape.

Yep, you are correct. I have had stranger things happen. Poon is a mysterious thing.

                    Release

Oh HELL no. I know how far I hit a driver....................270 is NOT the answer.

I would say, while you experiment, try not to limit your selection to the most possible choices, if there is the option to try more flex with different loft........
I'd be hitting the same set up had I not discovered the hobbyist side of the club making.
