Got The Ho'ing Itch For A New Driver
Spuzz I was going to put this one on my "worst club" list in the other thread.
Ugly colour and a fade machine, especially if you shaft it with a Grafalloy Blue.
:/
I think you might have the Big Bang 450 and the Integra Soolong 450R mixed up. They are not the same club. I have had both. The Bang is a nice dark peacock kind of blue and the Soolong a bright blue. I know that you hate the Soolong. Actually, years ago they came out of two foundries during a family fued. One model sucked, the other didn't.
Typhoon Would it hurt to take your current driver and go to a store with a launch monitor and have them help you out. Grab a Ping, Cobra and Taylormade. Hit them all alongside your own driver. Dont pay attention to the distance foe each club since the monitor could be weird. Look at how each one compares to the baseline set by your current driver.
Spend a bit more, get a decent driver...plus you'll be able to see the comparision there in the store. Dont waste more money on a Big Bang with a shaft thats a guess.
First issue, no sim within a 100 miles.
Second, I owned a Big Bang and know how it plays. I have also been building my own clubs for 15 years and I have a bunch of shafts that I know fit me that I can try in it.

Driver ?
Fun is in the hunt for the next stick.
My own dilemma regarding the driver is fairly common within the golf community. I would be restless and up to search for a better driver, even when my current driver is just fine. The very least is to change driver shaft to get to the "next level".
Recently, I'm geared toward exercise my lower body and stretching my shoulders and the back. No holly grill of driver for me at this time in life except to get fit to delay the natural process of life cycle.

FauxAmish Why do not Members read and comprehend the Original Post.
The Op stated he did not have access within a certain mile area to Golf stlrez, etc.
Happens all of the time Pat. I guess people often read the title then jump to the end of the thread. I am sure I have done it myself. No big deal.

Me too. I was hitting a taped up driver in a sim about 270. I bought it and got it on the course and was hitting it about 50 yards shorter. Fortunately a bud took it off my hands for what I paid for it.
