johnnydoom I think the chances of either Texas or Georgia getting to the final game is slim unless the Georgia backup QB sets the world on fire. Whereas in the previous two decades I would have bet that the finals would be all SEC most years with this format, I don't think they are that good this year.

I think an all SEC final is still possible (I will be rooting against that, lol). My guess is the final will be the OSU/Oregon winner vs. Georgia. I think Georgia has the kind of defense to stop Penn State.

I don't get it. The it I'm referring to is this notion of "loyalty" and it extends into the 'job market' as well. Why expect loyalty when you don't give it, i.e., employers provide few perks for loyalty. Why should their employees? Why, with all the money the NCAA and respective schools from the tv contracts get all of that dough, when we're eons past the one and only perk of free tuition? Why should those - these gifted athletes risk their potential payday in the NFL when their "farm team" only profits off of them?

The TX defense has been dominant but the offense hasn't done much after the first possession. AZ State's D has kept them in the game but can they find any offense?

Skattebo is wearing them down. The Texas defense has been good in the red zone all year. They are big on the inside and fast on the outside. Hard to get them on a short field.
