I guess Rory gets tied to the whipping post since we don't have Tiger to bash anymore. ๐Ÿคฃ

Rickochet Thing about TW is he never bashed/bad mouthed anyone or anything. Still doesn't as far I've seen/read. Guess they don't teach manners in Ireland.
And we know TW was/is polite, just look at the restaurants he eats in/out of. ๐Ÿคฃ

FWIW I never bashed Tiger and was and still am a fan. ๐Ÿ˜›

Had some yard work to do anyway. These guys are just on fire!๐Ÿ”ฅ

      Hovland was on fire today!
Pretty rare to have TWO back to back winners in a row!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I wouldโ€™ve taken Keegan Bradley ahead of Justin Thomas. Love Thomas, but Keegan has been playing better.

KCee Yep, the ones that earned it, did not get it. And 4 that did not, got on?? WTF?

Makes a big diff when you only have to beat 1-2 players on a hole, instead of over 18. These 2 guys will probably kill, then everyone will say Zach 'was so damn smart'.

But to have 4 so-sos picked over 2 2-time winners is just a bit skeptical, biased even. And those 2 skipped over will long remember this.

Hope they get their asses handed to them before #13!!๐Ÿคฌ

I think he went with JT because of their (Spieth) record playing together in the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. Something like 8-2-1 I believe. Individually theyโ€™re not that impressive.

Like Lucas Glover as well. It seems they go with past performances over current form. Unfortunately not everyone deserving makes it. Similarly they pick the same co captains it seems. Although Stewart Cink is new.

Sneakylong I can see the reasons for picking JT. In the past other big name players got the pick too because of past performance, name recognition and fitting in well with the team. All good reasons and hopefully it pans out well this time.

I wonder if Glover and Bradley were say in their 20's would they have gotten a pick as "hot young guns" instead of being resurgent veterans?

In a war, who do you want?
Europe always treats this as a war, btw.

Par4QC Every country wants to beat the USA in pretty much any sport. We're generally not the underdog although there are exceptions. I like having a few veterans and then young hungry guys to pump the team up. I know Team USA always wants to win, but they rarely seem really hungry to win.

Iโ€™m not very nationalistic when it comes to these matches. Many of the Europeans live in the U.S. and Iโ€™m a fan of. Just like to see competitive matches.
